You can now book a swimming slot at Aberystwyth University’s pool as building works continue at Plascrug Leisure Centre.
A number of slots will be allocated for community use at the University’s Sports Centre from Monday from the 28th of June onwards.
Each session will be a one hour slot with 45 minutes in the pool and entry into the water at quarter past the hour.
You will need to book a slot in advance by visiting Ceredigion Actif’s website (www.ceredigionactif.org.uk) and download a booking form.
A spokesperson for Ceredigion County Council said:
“Family swimming sessions, 60+ and lane swimming will be available. Each session will be a one hour slot with 45 minutes in the pool and entry into the water at quarter past the hour.
For lane swimming, the swimming pool will be split into four lanes, with two for faster swimmers and the other two for recreational use.
During the family swimming sessions, the pool will be divided into four pods. Children under the age of 4 must be accompanied by an adult on a 1 to 1 ratio, children under 8 years old must also be accompanied by an adult, with a maximum of two children per adult…Telephone bookings will be available shortly. Walk-ins will not be permitted.”
