The Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) in the Cardigan Integrated Care Centre will re-open to patients from Monday 25 January 2021.

The Unit  was temporarily closed in December to enable staff redeployment in support of the COVID-19 response. It will be open Mondays to Fridays between 9.00am and 4.30pm.

A Hywel Dda spokesperson said: “People are reminded not to attend the MIU if you have any symptoms of Covid-19, if you have been asked to self-isolate, or if you are awaiting a Covid-19 test result.

If you need to visit the MIU, please attend alone where possible, wear a suitable face covering and keep to the 2m social distancing rules at all times.”

Peter Skitt, County Director (Ceredigion) at Hywel Dda University Health Board said: “We’re delighted to be able to return Cardigan MIU to full service and wish to thank the local community for their patience and co-operation during its recent temporary closure.”
